Uji Obaku Plaza is a facility built for
academic interaction, student support, promotion of industry-academia
collaboration, and cooperation with local community of Kyoto University,
with a goal of contribution to society, through development of
education, research and academic culture. It has one big hall with 300
chairs and six rooms of various sizes. We look forward to having your
use for international conferences, lectures, academic meetings, study
group workings, workshops, and also recitals and club activities of both
inside and outside Kyoto University. The Plaza has a great access from
Kyoto Station, only a 30-minute train ride of JR Nara Line. Uji city,
where it is located, is well-known by two World Heritages – Byodoin
Temple and Ujigami Shrine. The city is also famous for its cultural
properties such as Manpuku-ji Temple, and local specialty like Uji green
tea.

Tips:
The registration fee does not cover the accommodation. It should be
booked by participants themselves. It is suggested that an early
reservation should be done because of peak season.
